Beefeater WET Gin

Our relish for today is the somewhat exclusive .

◾BEEFEATER Wet Gin◾

The Beefeater’s history can be traced back to 1862, when James Burrough, born 1835, bought the Cale Street based Chelsea distillery from Rectifier & Compounder, John Taylor, for the sum of £400 and started to produce his own distinctive style of gin by 1863. At first, the distillery continued with the production of liqueurs as previously started by its previous owners, further establishing its reputation an...d extending its customer base. Until 1987 the Burrough family controlled the company but in that same year Pernod-Ricard took over Beefeater’s.

This Beefeater Wet was launched in 1999, designed to be a diffferent style of Gin by adding extra spice, pear essence and sugar. Beefeater Wet remained in production until 2005.

You easily can say that this Beefeater Wet is the ancestor of the Belgian Clover gin which also use Peer as a Botanical. Unfortunately, the Clover can't beat this Beefeater Wet, he's of a completely different class.

So it's 1-0 for the UK!

◾ Gin&tonic ◾

I made this Wet Gin with a Thomas Henry tonic and I used a mint spring and a pink grapefruit wheel l as garnish to give the G&T an extra freshness.

If you can find it so do buy him you won't be disappointed! And to the people from Beefeater please relaunch this one as soon as possible!

◾ Score◾

88/100!
